Becoming, Belonging and Vanishing (2025)
Danial Shah
For this exhibition, I developed the visual identity and spatial graphics for Danial Shah’s photographic and film exhibition exploring photo studio culture of Quetta, Pakistan. My design work included the wall introduction, custom lettering, exhibition captions and a visual tunnel collage that guides visitors through the space and echoes the studios’ layered aesthetics of backdrops, props and digital montage.
Drawing from Shah’s themes of constructed identities, desire and belonging, I created a graphic language that feels both archival and contemporary, extending the narrative of transformation and imagined realities into the exhibition environment.
The exhibition is presented in collaboration with Sint Lucas School of Arts Antwerp (KdG), University of Antwerp, and Antwerp Research Institute for the Arts (ARIA).
